Dyslexia Intervention Referral Protocol 

For Child Study Teams, RTI Teams, and I&RS Teams

This training provides step by step descriptive guidelines for an International Dyslexia Association (IDA) aligned protocol for identification of students with indicators of dyslexia within a state mandated response to intervention (RTI) model. The training explains the roles of the teacher in the early detection of dyslexia indicators, the role of the intervention teams in collaborating with teachers on selecting research-based interventions in order to ensure that the child is set up for success and not failure, the steps for norm-based diagnostic testing and the resultant recommendations for support that would ensue based on the outcomes of testing.
